Windows 8 - Really reimagined?

A few days back Microsoft has released a Consumer Preview of its upcoming Windows 8, the release is available for download on the website. After having an experience of the Consumer Preview, there are few things which are worth mentioning.

It starts off with a beautifully designed start screen, with loads of options on a single touch, basically the interface has been designed to be compatible with both touch screens and desktops etc. Having a similar kind of OS for all devices like computers, tablets and mobiles seems to be inspired from Apple's IOS, where we have seen the same kind of operating systems for all devices. Microsoft for the first time has come up with this idea, which seems quite good and attractive.

Another addition to Microsoft Windows is the Windows Store, which again is something in trend nowadays, like all the major operating systems are offering an official place where the users can buy their favorite Apps for their OS, so its a good addition finally to the Windows.

In this version of Windows, the web becomes wonderful, introducing the all new Internet Explorer 10 is simply amazing. Its really fast and fun in browsing the internet, even on the low end PCs the browser works absolutely fine. And guess what, the web is already full screen, Windows 8 promises to change the working habits of PC users keeping away useless things and only focusing on what the user needs.

The interface of the operating system has been upgraded to a whole new level, no words needed to describe that I guess.

The old desktop is still there keeping in mind the older applications which are still not compatible with Windows 8.

And to add more, there are some key features which are worth mentioning here. Microsoft has integrated the sky drive right into the home screen which means access to the cloud has become on the finger tips without having to login again and again.

The user accounts have been integrated with the windows live ID (Microsoft ID) which means the users can have the same settings, apps and personalization on all Windows 8 devices they use (desktop, netbook, tablet, mobile etc.)
The most important thing, this version of windows is really fast. Excellent startup time, faster execution of apps, better performance and beautiful interface.

Finally it can be said that Windows 8 is one step ahead than any OS in the market at the moment. Now we should keep eyes on other competitors as this version of Windows is surely going to grab some market share in real terms.
